The Backpack, October 30, 2020

Welcome to "The Backpack," Port Townsend School District's new e-Newsletter.

This year, there is more information than ever about district services and programs, and since we cannot send it all home with kids in the traditional backpack mail, we are adding “The Backpack” e-news to help provide a one stop for district announcements.

We will continue to send urgent and important information using the School Messenger Communicate system, in addition to the more regular information in “The Backpack”. The e-news will be posted on the district website and will go out via email and text.

Daily Tech Support

Monday through Friday there is tech support available on Zoom at 7:30-8:30am and from 12:00-1:00pm. Zoom links and more info.

There is more information and lots of resources on our Tech Support webpage on our eLearning website.

COVID-19 Dashboard

On the Coronavirus Information Page we now have a COVID-19 Dashboard updated as information is received by the district. The dashboard tracks positive cases or close contacts in quarantine across students and staff. The district will send out all district notification via School Messenger of any positive lab confirmed COVID-19 cases in students or staff of the Port Townsend School District.

COVID-19 Family Support Resources

A collection of resources from our mental health counselors to support families coping with the many challenges during this time.

Optional Student Insurance

Each year the school provides information about optional student accident and sickness insurance plans. View the flyer for more information.
